Put the plug in the wall socket. Immerse the blade guard completely in the ingredients (Fig. 3). Press the on/off button or the turbo speed button to switch on the appliance. 2 3 4 5 -When you use the on/off button, you can adjust the speed with the speed selector. The higher the speed, the shor ter the processing time required. -When you use the turbo speed button, the appliance operates at maximum speed. In this case, you cannot adjust the speed with the speed selector. 6 Move the appliance slowly up and down and in circles to blend the ingredients (Fig. 4). Whisk The whisk is only intended for whipping cream, whisking egg whites and desser ts. Connect the whisk to the coupling unit (‘click’) (Fig. 5). Connect the coupling unit to the motor unit (‘click’) (Fig. 6). Put the ingredients in a bowl or in the beaker. 1 2 3 Tip:When you beat egg whites, use a large bowl for the best result. Tip:When you whip cream, use the beaker to avoid splashing. See the table for the recommended quantities and processing times. Whisking quantities and processing times Cream 250ml 70-90sec. Egg whites 4 eggs 120sec. Ingredients Whisking quantity Time Tip:To prevent splashing, start at a low speed setting and continue with a higher speed after approx. 1 minute. Put the plug in the wall socket and press the on/off button. After approx. 1 minute, you can press the turbo button to continue at turbo speed. Detaching the whisk Press the release button to detach the whisk from the motor unit. Pull the coupling unit off the whisk. 4 5 1 2 EnglisH potato masher The potato masher is especially equipped to make potato puree and to mash cooked peas. Caution: Never use the potato mashing bar to mash ingredients in a pan over direct heat. Always remove the pan from the heat and let the ingredients cool down slightly before you mash them. Caution: Do not mash hard or uncooked foods, as this may damage the potato mashing bar. Caution: Do not tap the potato mashing bar on the side of the pan during or after mashing. Use a spatula to remove excess food. Caution:To avoid damage, never use sharp or hard objects to remove the purree from the potato masher. 1 Cook for approx. 20 minutes, drain the potatoes and put them in a bowl. Tip:To get the best results, make sure the bowl is not more than half filled. Connect the potato masher to the coupling unit (1) and turn it anticlockwise (2) (‘click’) (Fig. 7). Attach the mashing paddle to the potato masher. (Fig. 8) Connect the coupling unit to the motor unit. (Fig. 9) Put the plug in the wall socket. Place the potato masher in the bowl filled with potatoes. Press the turbo speed button. Move the potato masher up and down for approx. 20 seconds. Add milk little by little and continue until you have achieved the desired result. Use a spatula (not included) to remove the puree from the potato masher. 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Tip:You can enhance the flavour by adding salt or butter. Detaching the potato mashing bar 1 Unplug the appliance. 2 Press both release buttons simultaneously to detach the potato masher from the motor unit (Fig. 10). 3 Detach the mashing paddle from the potato masher by turning the mashing paddle clockwise. (Fig. 11) 4 Turn the potato masher clockwise (1) and pull it off the coupling unit (2). (Fig. 12) Note: Always clean the potato masher immediately after use (see chapter ‘Cleaning’ and the cleaning table). 10 EnglisH cleaning (Fig. 13) Unplug the appliance. Press the release button on the motor unit to remove the accessory you have used. Disassemble the accessory. See the separate cleaning table at the end of this user manual for further instructions. Do not immerse the motor unit, the whisk coupling unit, or the coupling unit of the potato masher in water. Always detach the accessories from the motor unit before you clean them. 1 2 3 4 Tip: For quick cleaning of the blender bar or the potato masher, pour warm water with some washing-up liquid into the beaker or bowl you have used, insert the blender bar or potato masher and let the appliance operate for approx. 10 seconds. Environment -Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling.
