Note for handset and base unit: R If the handset and base unit*1 still indicate there are new messages even after you have listened to all new messages, turn it off by pressing and holding # until the handset or base unit*1 beeps. R If your voice mail service uses voice mail tones and a message is over 3 minutes long, the unit may not indicate new messages. R If your voice mail service uses voice mail tones, the tones are heard from any phone connected to the same line. If you want to use another phone to listen to voice mail messages, you have to dial your access number manually. *1 KX-TG7641 series: page 3 For assistance, please visit Intercom/Locator Intercom Intercom calls can be made: – between handsets – between a handset and the base unit (KX-TG7641 series: page 3) Note: R If you receive an outside call while talking on the intercom, you hear 2 tones. – To answer the call with the handset, press MOFFN, then press MN. – To answer the call with the base unit, press MSP-PHONEN 2 times. (KX-TG7641 series: page 3) R When paging unit(s), the paged unit(s) beeps for 1 minute. Making an intercom call Handset 1 MMENUNaMINTN 2 MbN: Select the desired unit. a MSELECTN R To stop paging, press MOFFN. 3 When you finish talking, press MOFFN. Base unit*1 *1 KX-TG7641 series: page 3 1 Press MINTERCOMN. R To page a specific handset, enter the handset number. R To page all handsets, press 0 or wait for a few seconds. R To stop paging, press MINTERCOMN. 2 When you finish talking, press MINTERCOMN. Answering an intercom call Handset 1 Press MN to answer the page. 2 When you finish talking, press MOFFN. Base unit*1 *1 KX-TG7641 series: page 3 1 Press MINTERCOMN to answer the page. 2 When you finish talking, press MINTERCOMN. Handset locator You can locate a misplaced handset by paging it. 1 Base unit: Press MLOCATORN. R All registered handsets beep for 1 minute. 2 To stop paging: Base unit: Press MLOCATORN. Handset: • KX-TG7621 series: page 3 Press MOFFN. • KX-TG7641 series: page 3 Press MN, then press MOFFN. For assistance, please visit Intercom/Locator Transferring calls, conference calls Outside calls can be transferred or a conference call with an outside party can be made: – between 2 handsets – between a handset and the base unit (KX-TG7641 series: page 3) Handset 1 During an outside call, press MINTN to put the call on hold. 2 MbN: Select the desired unit. a MSELECTN 3 Wait for the paged party to answer. R If the paged party does not answer, press MN to return to the outside call. 4 To complete the transfer: Press MOFFN. R The outside call is being routed to the destination unit.
