LOOSEN LOOSEN If chain becomes loose around guide Loosen both nuts... bar, allow chain to cool then... TIGHTEN Turn adjusting screw clockwise to tension saw chain... TIGHTEN TIGHTENTIGHTEN WARNING: Unplug saw and allow chain to cool before tensioning. New saw chains will stretch. Check chain tension frequently when first used and tighten when chain becomes loose around guide bar. Turn thumbscrew clockwise to tension saw chain... Pull chain to check tension. Guide links should not come out of guide bar groove...
