High power handling (up to 120 watts) and low distortion have been achieved with a new 15" musical instrument speaker yielding excellent bass and mid-bass, and by designing the high-frequency-extending Tangerine™ radial phase plug*in the 808-8B driver. A cast-alumi-num sectoral horn is coupled to the compression *Reg. U.S. Patent No. 4,050,5 driver for maximum dispersion control and the dividing network provides smooth crossover at 1200 Hz. for protection of the driver and improved system power-handling. Built to be used under physically demanding circumstances, the portable 1234 features a durable yet elegant bass reflex enclosure. Steel front legs, rear casters and a tow bar make handling an easy task, while vinyl edge bumper guards protect the cabinet from abuse.
