Watch out for splashing of fat and vapours during operation and even the grilling process! Touch it only at the handle. • Do not use any accessories that were not supplied with this unit! • Do not place this unit next to hot devices(e.g. Next to a cooker or oven). There must also not be any inflammable objects (such as curtains) near the unit. • Cautlon:The power cord must not touch the hot parts of the unit during operation! I HEALTHIER GRILLING • With this diet grill, you can prepare food much healthier than with earlier grill devices: =* The grill plate has been given a non-stick coating. It therefore requires very little or no oil for the grilling process. I BEFORE FIRST USE • Remove all packing material. • Clean the unit and drawer before using it for the first time (see CLEANING AND CARE) • There can be some smells when using it for the first time. Residues left over from the manufacturing process are being burned on the grill plate. I OPERATION • Prepare first the stuff to be grilled (clean,marinate,apply spices and,if necessary,a thin layer of oil or fat). Please let moist foodstuffs dry. • CautiomFirst,place the stuff to be grilled and only then connect the mains plug with a plug point.Otherwise,the unit would heat up too much. • This Healthy Grill has an overheating protection: If the device has hated up too much, it switches off automatically. The lamp in the thermostat goes off.In this case, pull out the mains plug and let the device cool down completely.Only then can you start the next grilling operation. • Place the stuff to grill at the centre of the baking plate. Do not use any metallic or sharpedged tools.Then could damage the non-stick coating on the unit. • Place the stuff to grill at the centre of the baking plate.Because the heating power is higherthere. • Plug the connector with thermostat into the appliance,then connect the main plug to a suitable socket. • Turn the thermostat pass “ 0 ” ,the indicator lamp lights up,the baking plate begins to heat up. • Caution:The unit becomes very hot during operation! Touch it only at the handle. • You can terminate the grilling process any time by turning the thermostat to “ 0 ” or pulling out the mains plug. ’ Always pull out the mains plug, when the grilling operation is over. I ADVICE AND RECIPE IDEAS I Meats • Choose meats of even thickness and good quality. • Grill meat at room temperature;otherwise it will be tough. • To give more flavour,marinade your meat in a little oil or wine,or with a few herbs in alcohol. Remember these are the meats best suited to the cooking: • Beef:fillet steak,entrecote,rump,ribs. • Veahscallops,chops. • Pork:pork-steaks,bestend chops. • Mutton/Lamb:slices of leg-of-lamb,best end chops,neckend chops. Also:prick sausages,black pudding,so that they do not burst. Kebabs • Cut the meat or the fish in 2-3 cm cubes. • Marinade in white wine(*)and oil with herbs if meats or cured products and in oil and lemon-juice if fish. (*)Notice: Alcohol is inflammable. The misuse of aicohol is bad for your health. Fish • Slit the tops of mackerel and sea bream. I CLEANING AND CARE I • Before any cleaning,disconnect and let your Healthy Grill cool for half an hour minimum. • Empty the drawer and clean it. • Use a piece of cloth moistened with water and cleaning medium for cleaning the housing. • Cleaning the baking plate: First,remove the larger pieces of food such as burnt up cheese. Use only soft tools for cleaning,such as plastic or wooden spoons.Never use any baking oven sprays or other sharp,pointed or scouring cleaning media. You can then clean the baking plate with hot water and a cleaning medium.Do not use petrol or solvents!
